Get Your Halo 3 Beta Shirt
May 21, 2007Remember that Halo 3 event that was held in New York and San Francisco? Well, on top of playing Halo 3 a week early, and getting exclusive codes to enter the game early, participants were also given Halo 3 Beta shirts.
For the many that have been trying to win them, or to persaude those who went to give theres up, can now fork over some cash, and buy one for themselves.
Bungie.net has 2 versions of the Beta shirt available, and for 16.95 you better order quick to get this limited edition tee!

Finally, Halo 3 Beta is Out!
May 16, 2007Alright, to get the Halo 3 Beta, you must first clear your cache…
[Memory --> Highlight Hard Drive --> Now press: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X]
Then go to Crackdown, and to Downloads, and Halo 3 will be lit!
[Update 1 - You may get the Patch without doing the Clear Cache method]

Halo 3 Beta update soon…
May 16, 2007Major Nelson just made this post on his Twitter,
“majornelson As soon as my site is back (which will be soon) I’ll post an H3 update”
So, there you have it, hopefully it will be up soon.
Update 1: Assuming the test pass goes according to plan, the fix will come in the form of a Crackdown title update within the next three to six hours. [Starting at 10:00 Eastern PM]

Halo 3 Reminder + Launch Date

Just in case you live under a rock, the Halo 3 Beta will open up to all gamers holding a copy of Crackdown at 5:00 AM (Editors Note – The press release says 5:00 PDT, however I believe that meant to say Eastern, since that is the normal launch time for Live material)
Also, if that wasn’t enough, Microsoft has announced the launch date for Halo 3, and for those thinking it will be at the end of the year, you couldn’t be more wrong. Halo 3 will be launching on September 25th, 2007.
Now that you know… which version will you be preordering?

Microsoft just sent this announcement regarding the Halo 3 Beta,
Microsoft Game Studios and Bungie Studios today confirmed the multiplayer beta of “Halo® 3” will debut to audiences worldwide via Xbox LIVE® on May 16 at 5 a.m. PDT and run through June 6 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
When gamers gather online to play the multiplayer beta via Xbox LIVE in May, they will be treated to three richly detailed, action-oriented maps: Snowbound, High Ground and Valhalla, which represent a mixture of large- and medium-scale combat environments and are brand-new to “Halo 3.” Each map will test gamers’ mettle as they are placed behind the controls of new “Halo 3” vehicles such as the agile Mongoose all-terrain vehicle, and armed with deadly weapons such as the new and improved Assault Rifle, the ferocious Brute Spiker, the devastating Spartan Laser and the treacherous new Spike Grenades. This is just a taste of what gamers will experience later this fall when “Halo 3” goes on sale.
In addition, gamers who can’t wait for the multiplayer beta this May can get an even earlier look at “Halo 3” with a new, behind-the-scenes video feature available at http://www.bungie.net and in high definition over Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The latest multiplayer video documentary, titled “Is Quisnam Protero Damno!,” will offer a glimpse at how “Halo 3” multiplayer maps are being designed, built and architected, and how these amazing spaces are converted into fun places in which to play. Gamers can also catch the first-ever glimpse of brand-new “Halo 3” multiplayer levels in their early stages of evolution and construction.
It looks like May is going to be a very entertaining month for 360 fans, with the Spring Update, and now the Halo 3 Beta… whats next I ask?
